No baby news yet. Any second now, though! Just wishing my sewjo matched my waistline. I really want to sew cute summer dresses but this belly has not turned into a pumpkin yet!! Also it’s impossible to cut out large pattern pieces without getting exhausted in the process.
Anyway, my mother passed on a sewing book from a recently deceased relative (also got a bunch of patterns from their stash about two months ago). I don’t have the BH&G famous red-check cookbook but I do have their sewing book now!
From my quick flip-through it’s quite a bit of basic sewing techniques. And really sweet drawings! I just think it’s a cool find. Anyone else have one? I’ve seen (and own) a vintage Reader’s Digest guide, but I didn’t know BH&G made one too.
I also broke what has felt like a fabricfast – but I guess that was a false feeling since I have purchased baby/maternity specific fabrics in the last 9 months. Anyway, Hawthorne Threads won me over with their recent sale email. I was still restrained, but they did spoil me with the shipping being so fast! I swear I ordered in the middle of the night on Friday and the package was waiting for me when I got home from work on Monday!
Eucalyptus print rayon and Bisou Zoo cotton. No specific plans for either.
Two Crafty Calaveras and a Mr Bones panel – that glows in the dark! I think I’m making a table runner that can also hang on the wall.
