The Small Human Being (SHB) will be here in 5 weeks or less! I’ve been trying to sew up some last minute things while I have the quiet time. Also, my best friend from pre-school is also in the family way – only about 7 weeks behind – so I whipped some things up for her and her SHB too.
Things for my bae:
Tiny tee from the 1980s Sunrise Designs patterns I posted on Instagram a few weeks ago. Don’t look too closely at the top stitching. Also, I’m never going to hem it. …tiny clothes are so much more fiddly than NSHB (Normal Sized Human Being) clothes!!
More bibs (actually the lobster one is the same from the one above)
One-Hour Baskets for the nursery
Things for Friend’s bae (they are having a boy, and rockets are a theme for them):
The two bibs on the right (the other one is for my SHB in case they arrive on or before the Fourth of July like they’re meant to)
More burp cloths
All of them together.
For this version of burp cloths I used cheap pre-fold cloth diapers and just added the decorative fabric in the center. The base diapers are not square so everything ends up looking a bit wonky. …But it’s for catching vomit so I don’t think baby will care.
And finally a crinkle and tab cloth for funsies.
I have a few other things on my to-do list, and stacks of fabric I want to use up, so we’ll see how much more I can accomplish before SHB makes an appearance.
